Today's Projects and TIPS

I was inspired today. Took out some of the things I saw and bought at the Orange County Scrap Expo and the CHA SuperShow.

The card shown here was a butterfly cut from my cutter. I might post some like it for sale, but any butterfly Die Cut would do. I added a little bit of Bling.

The orange under was created with a Glimmer Screen from Tattered Angels with a light and then dark ink sprayed over it.

I took some of the inks I had in the dropper bottles, added them to empty spray bottles (found them at Michael's) and added some water to dilute them so they'd spray as a mist.

TIP: The spray mist is WET. Use paper towels underneath and don't spray directly on your card. Use a different sheet of cardstock that you can adhere to the front of your card. Adds depth and you don't have the color showing through to the inside!

My second project today was a deceptively simple card. A shiny red square sites below a high gloss, stamped, white square.

I used stamp pens in first yellow (along the stems) and then two different greens (on the leaves) to decorate a leaf patterned stamp.

TIP:
Don't try to be the perfect artist here. Nature has imperfections and the looser you are with your pen colors the better it will actually look!

I then used red and purple on a flower stamp. This little flat red stamp was actually sold for soap making, but worked fine here.

A small orange chip board helps pop the white flower over it. That and the little bit of Bling in both flowers adds some glitz.
